REVIEW UNIT



TODAY YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT PHRASAL VERBS, AS WELL AS THE USE OF THERE IS AND THERE ARE.

1. First, read the next explanation about PHRASAL VERBS.

WHAT IS A PHRASAL VERB?  - They are composed verbs formed by a VERB+A PARTICLE, for example Look+for.

Example: I'm looking for Sam. (Estoy buscando a Sam) 

The particles next to the verbs can be: 

  • Prepositions: ON, IN, UNDER, etc.
  • Adverbs: UP, DOWN, AWAY, etc.


Phrasal verbs are mainly used in spoken English and informal texts.
